Lala Sauce
Baba's Cooking School
Crafted By: Katy Chang
Washington, D.C.
This Asian-inspired condiment is spicy and then some! Made with fermented black beans, chili peppers, garlic, vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, salt, and spices it's the perfect flavor starter to take your food to the next level.
A Good Food Awards winner in 2014, this sauce works perfectly with roast vegetables including tomatoes and carrots; whisked into a marinade for pork or chicken; added to deepen the flavors of a salad dressing; or paired with gyoza and other dim-sum style dumplings

About Baba's Cooking School
Katy runs Baba's Cooking School - created to share the lessons in cooking and life she adopted from her chef dad. Her father (or baba) came to America and opened restaurants. He didn't know a lot of english and used food as a means to communicate with others. Among his many lessons: never forget the power of food. Baba's Cooking School was founded on the belief that cooking isn't complete until it has been shared and opened in 2014 to share food experiences, enrich culinary dialogue, and promote an intrinsic way of eating: seasonally, locally, and with your community.
