Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Metzger Bar & Butchery, Richmond, VA
Trained professionally as a chef at the French Culinary Institute in New York City under Master Chefs Jacques Pepin, Andre Soltner + Alain Sailhac, Brittanny has worked for 15 years in the restaurant industry. After graduating at the top of her class at FCI, Brittanny worked in some of the best kitchens in New York City, most notably Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Northern Spy Food Company. Now back in her hometown of Richmond, VA she cooks modern and seasonally inspired German Cuisine as the Executive Chef and Co-Owner of Metzger Bar + Butchery in Union Hill.
Part butcher shop, part restaurant + bar, Metzger Bar & Butchery is our favorite kind of modern-thinking concept. A one-stop shop, the East End eatery serves seasonally inspired German fare with a ‘from-scratch’ mentality alongside house made sausages, cured meats and more. With concrete floors, chunky wood-block tables and tile walls the vibe recalls an old-world butcher updated with modern sensibilities. Rustic in all the right ways, Metzger Bar & Butcher is the type of restaurant where you could enjoy a beer with a co-worker, take your parents for a culinary adventure, or to bring a group of friends to start a raucous night out. A combination of all three owners skill-sets, we’re thrilled to see Metzger Bar & Butcher establish itself as one of Richmond’s best new dining hotspots.
